Organic gas evolution from the processing of natural raw materials as well as man-made substances that are highly flammable pose a risk to any electrical process. Explosion protection is subject to country-specific rules, but what all nations have in common is the relevance of enclosed housings and cable glands to prevent contact between electrical contacts and explosive atmospheres or at least to prevent a possible explosion from escaping the housing. The long connection thread allows maximum safety with regard to the fastening quality. Large, stable wrench flats on the pressure nut and the lower part enable secure tightening of the screw connection.
